Carole Rivoire

Rivoire is the Safety and Licensing Manager at NUWARD, based in Lyon, France, where she leads a multidisciplinary team involved in nuclear safety and licensing activities for the NUWARD SMR project.

She has over 15 years of experience in nuclear safety and licensing, with strong expertise in fault studies, severe accident analysis and thermohydraulic transients. Throughout her career, she has contributed to major nuclear projects of the EDF Group in France and the UK, including French fleet periodic safety reviews and licensing interactions with safety authorities.

Her background combines technical leadership, coordination of complex safety studies and support to regulatory processes.

At NUWARD, Carole leverages this background to contribute to the development of a safe and competitive SMR generic design, ensuring licensing success for the NUWARD SMR within an international regulatory framework, supporting its deployment across diverse markets.
