Marinella De Focatiis

Secretary General of AIDEN (Italian Association of Energy Law) and EFELA (European Federation of Energy Law).

She is a Law graduate of class 1991 from University of Milan. In 1992/3/4 she was Teaching Assistant of Public and Administrative Law with Professor Giuseppe Pericu. She worked in law firms, dealing, among other matters, with the privatization and liberalization of the telecommunications market in Italy.

In 2000, she joined Edison S.p.A. where, as internal lawyer, she took responsibility on Energy Administrative Law Department within the General Counsel Division. Since 2023, she has been in charge of the company’s Legal Academy. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Edison Stoccaggio S.p.A.

She has been a speaker at numerous national and international conferences, author of several publications on energy law and co editor of several books published by Giuffrè, Giappichelli and Wolters Kluwer. She is a passionate reader of 19th Century literature; Charles Dickens is her favorite author.

She is a great traveler, having canvassed most of Asia with her heavy luggage full of books. Her latest trip was to Algeria.
