Ruggero Corrias

Ruggero has served for over 8 years in the US (New York, where he led the Press Office of the Italian Permanent Mission to the United Nations and Washington DC, where he was in charge of Business and Trade at the Italian Embassy), 4 years in Latin America (Santiago, as Deputy Ambassador), 3 years as Ambassador in the Balkans (Sarajevo) and 2 years as Ambassador in Ireland (Dublin).

As Senior Diplomatic Advisor to the Italian Prime Minister in Rome (USA, Russia and Latin America in his portfolio), he was also responsible for the promotion of Italian business overseas and successfully directed from Palazzo Chigi the Milan Expo 2015 diplomatic campaign.

Head of the Press Directorate of the Italian Foreign Ministry, he also served as spokesman to the Italian Foreign Minister.

CEO Diplomatic Advisor and Head of International Relations in SNAM (EU’s largest gas utility) for 5 years, he became Chairman of SNAM North America LLC and led the opening of the company’s business in China and India.
